Sweet Skin

Sweet Skin using Honey
Honey- It's loaded with nutrients, antioxidants and healing compounds.
So it's great for skin.  Here's  a few ways to use it for your skin.

1. Gentle Exfoliator
Honey is loaded with antioxidants, enzymes, and other nutrients that nourish, cleanse, and hydrate skin. Baking soda, meanwhile, is a gentle natural exfoliator that removes dead skin cells, allowing new cells to emerge for a radiant complexion.

Try it: Mix two tablespoons honey with one tablespoon baking soda. Splash your skin with water, then gently rub the concoction on your face or body in a circular motion. Rinse well.

2. Scar Fader

It is said to lighten skin. So it's anti-inflammatory, antibacterial properties help to decrease the appearance of scars and increase healing. Along with tissue repair. Mixed with coconut oil (you all know how much I love coconut oil) it can revive skin cells.

Try it: Mix a tablespoon of honey (raw is best) with a teaspoon of coconut oil (or use can use olive oil also) Apply to the affected area and massage in a circular motion for about 2 or 3 minutes. Place a hot washcloth over your skin and leave until the cloth is cool. Repeat this as often as you can (daily is best)

3. In the tub: Since it is hydrating, the antioxidants will repair the skin and protect it.

Try it: Mix two tablespoons honey with one cup hot water to dissolve and add to your bath. Just soak.

4. Treatment of sunburn: Honey contains powerful anti-inflammatory agents to hydrate the deep layers of sun exposed skin. It will calm burned skin and  aid in it's recovery.

Try it: Mix one part honey with two parts aloe vera gel. Apply to the burned area.
