Springtime Arrival

Beauty in a Barrel
Springtime with buds, blossoms and warmer weather is on it's way. Doesn't seem like it with snow on the ground and a chill in the air but it's coming.

The air is warmer, the days start earlier and the nights come later.
It's about time. I've had it with winter. I'm not a winter type person and I don't like winter sports. I like love Spring and all that goes along with it.
The Sun, warmth, breezes, rains, smells, sights, flowers, birds, deer. Well you get the picture. It's great and it's on it's way. I'm so excited. Maybe then I'll get rid of this blasted bug that keeps haunting me and making me sick.

Getting out and getting some sun. Planting a small garden, with corn, potatoes, broccoli and tomatoes would be great. Exercising more outdoors. (I've lost 15 1/2 pounds so far) Playing with my dog and taking her for a much needed walk. And simply just enjoying each day, rain or shine.

William Shakespeare said it all in a poem entitled Spring.

Spring

                                                           BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
When daisies pied and violets blue
   And lady-smocks all silver-white
And cuckoo-buds of yellow hue
   Do paint the meadows with delight,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men; for thus sings he,
                         Cuckoo;
Cuckoo, cuckoo: Oh word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear!

When shepherds pipe on oaten straws,
   And merry larks are plowmen’s clocks,
When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws,
   And maidens bleach their summer smocks,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men; for thus sings he,
                         Cuckoo;
Cuckoo, cuckoo: Oh word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear!

Hope everyone is looking forward to Spring and have some wonderful activities planned for it.
As always thanks for your visit. Stay well, be blessed and have a great day. Love, Mary
