Never Said Book Review - Author, Carol Lynch Williams

A Book Review From CountryLife4Me
About The Book
For as long as she can remember, Sarah’s family life has revolved around her twin sister, Annie—the pretty one, the social one, the girl who can do anything. The person everyone seems to
wish Sarah—with her crippling shyness—could simply become.
When Annie suddenly chops off her hair, quits beauty pageants, and gains weight, the focus changes—Annie is still the star of the family, but for all the wrong reasons. Sarah knows something has happened, but she too is caught in her own spiral after her boyfriend breaks up with her and starts hanging out with one of Annie’s old friends.

Annie is intent on keeping her painful secret safe. But when she and Sarah start spending time together again for the first time in years, walls start to break on both sides … and words that had been left unsaid could change everything.

My Thoughts
I have never read a book from this author before. This is a first for me. Carol Lynch Williams gives us an inside look into troubled family secrets with this book and issues that 2 girls (twins) must deal with.
Never Said is a well-written young adult novel that deals with some serious issues.
Written in a style that is appropriately woven between sisters. Each twin having their own serious issue they are trying to deal with.
The book has themes of forgiveness, love, sacrifice, and hope woven throughout the story.
The book is told from both Annie and Sarah's points of view, and each chapter in the book is an emotional portrayal of what each girl is going through.. I enjoyed this book and give it 4 stars.
I recommend reading this book. Great for parents and teens alike. An Emotional Book. Well worth the read.
