Morning Glory- A quiet Place

 Morning Glory- A quiet Place

Do you have time for God?  Do you spend enough time alone with him? When you ask Christians about their time with the Lord, you always hear excuses. I don't have time. I couldn't find time today. I've been too busy.

But, if you look at them and watch them, they have plenty of time for social media, conversations with friends, that phone call, or a little morning exercise. So if you have time for these things, and you can't make time for God, what does this say about you?

Begin your day with prayer. God is the greatest resource we have in life, and we have the privilege of talking to Him.

Read your Bible and use a daily devotional.. This will get your mind focused on Him.

You can't hear God or find answers to those questions you seek if you're not spending time alone with him to hear him speak.

God will show you your sin, encourage you, help you, express His love for you, and guide you. But you must find a quiet place to be alone with him and seek his voice.

Dedicate your time to the Lord, but know that when you do, the devil is going to distract you any way he can. With friends, TV, social media, phone calls. Be prepared. Pray that you're not distracted. Pray for a peaceful time with God, and pray for that thing or person that is your distraction.

Look for Christ in Scriptures - Search the Scriptures and Listen for that still small voice.

Psalm 1:2

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law, he meditates day and night.

Mark 1:35-37

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
