Fun Fact

What did people use before toilet paper was invented?

Fact:  Different materials were used depending upon the country, weather conditions, and status.

People used leaves, grass, ferns, maize, seashells, stone, sand, moss,  snow, Corn cobs, fruit skins, and water. People of wealth would use wool, lace or hemp.

Later on, people would use pages from a book, newspapers, or catalogs.

Before toilets there were outhouses. Usually behind the house a distance so there would be no smell near the dwelling.

I'm really glad we don't have to resort to those types of uses anymore. I like things the way they are now.
