Scarecrow Craft

It's Still officially Autumn, so here is a fun project for you and your kids to do to
gether this week-end.
Make this scarecrow gift bag
to hold all your harvest goodies in. Fill him/her with candies such as candy corn, popcorn, or a special gift.

Here is what you'll need:

•Heart Shaped cookie cutter
•Black Marker
•Plaid Fabric
•Scissors
•Brown Paper Bag
•craft glue
•glue gun and glue sticks
•3 black buttons
•stapler and staples
•raffia
•straw hat

Instructions:
1.Use your Heart Shaped cookie cutter to trace 2 hearts onto the plaid fabric and scissors to cut them out.Glue them onto the front of the paper bag with craft glue as the cheecks.

2.Use the black marker to draw stitch lines around the heart cheeks (makes them look stitched on)

3.Use the hot glue to affix the 3 black buttons onto the front of the bag as the eyes and nose.

4.Use the marker to draw on the mouth and eye brow shapes.

5.Add candy or gift to the bag and then staple closed.Use your hot glue gun to add a bunch of raffia to the top of the bag.

6.Hot glue the miniature straw hat to the top of the raffia hair,by adding glue to various spots around the bag.

That's it, you're done. What a wonderfully great and fun idea. You can do this yourself or with a child. Just be cautious with the hot glue and glue gun as supervision is needed for smaller children, (or a parent-teacher should do this part with children under 10)
