Sometimes I get discouraged about my unadventurous life. Like being bored and my life not being interesting enough. How I would like to have a life more adventurous.
I know I'm supposed to be happy in all situations but sometimes I just feel this way and I think most of us feel this way. At least now and then. I hate when I do this and I get out of this frame of mind as quickly as possible.
Then I remembered there was a scripture somewhere that mentioned our time and place, so I looked it up and found it in acts. Here is what it says.
Acts 17:26-28
26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.
Boy, do I feel better. I feel I belong here and I am happier. This is where God personally placed me. He made me, and he had a time and a place picked out just for me. This is it. This is my time, and the place God personally put me to live.
Will my life be more adventurous? I don't know. Will I have excitement in my life? I don't know. But I do know I'm more content now knowing I'm where my Lord wants me to be and what I'm to do in my life will come at his timing also.
Are you happy and content in your life? If you're waiting for a little more excitement and a little more adventure, wait, wait on the Lord and his timing. Let's see what happens.
