Cornbread Taco Bake

Cornbread Taco Bake. This meal comes together in no time but is still impressive.  it’s time to make some yummy Cornbread Taco Bake.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 1/2 can whole kernel corn, drained (6 ounces)
  • ½ cup chopped green pepper (optional) I omit this
  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 package corn muffin mix
  • 1 can french fried onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded taco flavored cheese

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown beef in a skillet and drain. Stir in taco seasoning, water, corn, pepper (if using), and tomato sauce. Pour into a 9-by-12-inch glass dish. In a bowl, mix corn muffin mix according to package directions, then stir in 1/2 can onions. Spoon corn muffin mixture around the outer edge of the casserole. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, take out of the oven, and sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions for topping. Bake an additional 3-4 minutes.
