What To Do When You're Unmotivated

Motivation - motivation, is what drives you to achieve what needs to be done.

Being unmotivated is - lack of passion. There are no goals, desire, or willingness to work.

3 reasons why you may feel unmotivated.

Reasons you may feel unmotivated.

1. You've set the wrong goals for yourself. Goals that are too high for the season you're in. You are aiming too high and feeling unmotivated because you believe you might fail.

2. A lack of motivation can be a symptom of mental health issues. Symptoms like depression. And if you find that your mental health is impacting your motivation, you may want to seek help. Contact a professional.

3. Loss of motivation may indicate burnout. You are completely burnt out and need some time off from too many doings in your life. This is when you need to stop, and take a deep breath. Learn to slow down and breathe.

So how do we get motivated?

1. Start with small goals - Get rid of those long-term goals (temporarily) and step into smaller ones, and adjust them as you see fit. Having one small goal is much easier to focus on than a big goal or two.

You will start out with these steps to change your life

A. Setting daily goals

B. Then setting monthly goals

 C.  And finally (further down the road) Set a few big goals for yourself for the year.

2. Step away from whatever task you're working on to take a short break. You can’t expect yourself to keep your motivation for hours straight on end. So taking a few breaks here and there, now and again, is a good habit to practice. This will help to reset your mind, keep you focused, and allow you to be more efficient when it's time for you to get back on track

3. Now, imagine yourself successfully completing your goals. Visualizing success can help you with your desires and in turn motivate you to work harder towards them.

4. Make a visual representation of what you want your goals to be by using images, words, and symbols. Having a vision board in your workspace/home can be a great reminder of what you're working towards.
