Laws are created to maintain order and to protect citizens. But sometimes, they can be o little bit strange. Across the world, some laws will have you scratching your head. Here are 15 of some of the craziest laws that exist around the world.
1. No Chewing Gum in Singapore-:Chewing gum is banned in Singapore, except for dental and therapeutic purposes. The reason for the low - to maintain cleanliness in public.
2 Stepping on Money in Thailand is Illegal-: Stepping on the country's currency is illegal because the king’s face is on it. Disrespecting the king is taken very seriously.
3. Ontario, Canada Has A No Dancing in the Dark Law-: In the town of Oshawa, it's illegal to dance after 11:00 p.m. If you do, you'll need a license to do so.
4. Taking a Selfie with a Tiger is a no no in India-: Tourists like taking selfies, but in India, it's illegal to take them with tigers in wildlife parks. This is for protection, of both animals and visitors.
5.Carrying Ice Cream in Your Back Pocket in not permitted in the state of Alabama- it is illegal to keep ice cream in your back pocket.
6. No High Heels in Greece - Visitors are not allowed to wear heels at ancient sites. This is to protect the historical monuments from damage caused by footwear.

11. Masks - In France, wearing a full-face mask in public is not allowed, Due to concerns about public safety and identity.
12. No Cussing in Public - In some parts of New York, cussing in public can get you fined. This law, is not strictly enforced though.
13. Dominoes in Alabama -Playing dominoes on Sundays is illegal.These games and other entertainment are restricted on Sundays.
14. No Spitting- In New York City, spitting in public places is against the law. Promoting health and sanitation in the city.
15. No Water Balloons - In Jaffrey, New Hampshire it’s illegal to throw water balloons. This ordinance is to prevent injury that can be caused by water balloon fights.
Even though these laws are weird, they reflect cultural values. Of course most are not enforced. But they do make us laugh.
