Tasty Tuesdays- Baked Meatballs


 Meatballs have been around forever and have been a favorite in many homes for many years. Who doesn't like them? (I mean other than my daughter)I make them quite often. For spaghetti, subs, vegetable soup with mini meatballs, meatball and cheese bake, as well as, over rice (meatball and rice bowl topped with fresh, chopped spinach.

Here is everything you will need to make your family happy. No matter what way you use these, they will be a hit. You can choose your own variety of spices as well.


Ingredients:

1 -1/2pound ground beef

 1 egg

 1/4 cup finely diced onion 

1/4 cup all-purpose flour (you can also use seasoned bread crumbs instead)

1/4 cup finely grated fresh Parmesan (or the shake kind if you don't have fresh)

 2 garlic cloves, minced (or you can use 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder)

 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley (or you can use 1 tablespoon parsley flakes)

 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

 1 teaspoon salt

 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  • Mix the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, onion, flour, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix the ingredients together until well combined.

  • Roll. Roll the mixture between your hands, making between 25–30 meatballs.

  • Bake until browned. Place the meatballs on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, until browned.  *** Serve the meatballs with your favorite sauce. Whether spaghetti sauce, marinara, Alfredo, or pesto. The choices are endless.
