It's Tough Out There - So How Do You Stay Calm And Relaxed Through It All?
I've compiled 10 ways to help you ease the stress and keep you clam.
- Count to 10. In the time that it takes you to do this (slowly), you just might be able to look at your situation in a whole new light.
- Take a Walk. It has been shown to ease your mind, ad de-stress your body. Giving you time to think and come up with fresh new ideas, and a solution to what is bothering you.
- Try a 3-Minute Meditation. - Meditation helps not only to relax your mind but your body as well. A relaxed body can be a solution to a relaxed mind. Making you calm, and peaceful, getting rid of anxiety.
- Write (or talk) it out. Start a journal and write out all your thoughts. Or talk with someone you trust. Getting it all out is a big stress reliever and calms the nerves.
- Surround yourself with positive people, this is a must. Getting rid of negativity (including negative people) is a must in your life. There is a lot of stress and tension when dealing with negativity.
- Practice deep-breathing, breathing deeply for a few minutes can help to calm your nerves and your mind. Imagine a relaxing scene of some kind. Being out on a boat in the middle of a lake. Sitting under a tree with a book you've been wanting to read, or being in a hammock, allowing the wind to sway you to and fro.
- Expect the best, not the worst. Look for positives in every situation.
- Cultivate a positive mindset. (Maintaining an optimistic outlook where challenges abound can significantly influence our daily experiences.)
- Stress, anxiety, and depression, are released when you take a stroll and enjoy the quiet and calm of nature
- Take control of your life and stay active. Find things to do with others that you enjoy. Get out there and move around some. Sitting idol makes your mind wander to all the things that bother you and keeps you stressed.
